Kailee's First Haircut (Aug. 15th 2009)

So Kailee had never had a haircut before, and it's finally starting to grow at a pace a little faster than a snail travels, so I thought I'd take her in for a haircut. She is so great to sit still while she gets her hair done every morning, so I just KNEW she'd do great. I had heard of this cute salon just for kids named "Cookie Cutters" and that sealed the deal! We had this big pep talk about how "Only special haircutting people can cut hair." (I would DIE if she cut her own hair...) Well she wanted them to wash her hair (which they charge extra for because most kids despise that part) She climbs up this fire truck and lays in it with her head in the sink while they use the most scrumptious shampoo and conditioner. (I swear I want some to use on her every day... I'm sure they do that on purpose.) Then with nice clean hair, she climbs into this fantastic pink hot rod and dons a penguin cape to get her hair trimmed. The personal TV in front of her is playing the Barbie movie she chose to watch. Less than 10 minutes later, her trim was complete! Leslie, her stylist, said that Kailee is the most well-behaved 2 yr old client she has ever had! Leslie put some mousse and a flipped pony in her hair and sprayed it to smell "like a cookie". Once she was done, Leslie told Kailee to look in the mirror to see what she thinks. Kailee smiled a big smile of approval and climbed out of her car. *Note: the pink car was strategically placed next to a wall of darling bows and headbands that cost a small fortune, but are very tempting for moms to look at while girlies get their hair cut.* Next stop? The fantastic slide and play area they provide for the kids to play on while you pay. On our way out, Kailee got a balloon with a sucker and cookie cutter attached at the bottom. All in all it was AWESOME! Before we were even out of the parking lot, Kailee told me TWICE that she had so much fun! I love her so much!

Snowbird, UT (July 4-11 2009)

We had an amazing time at Snowbird this year. When I told Kailee we were going, she asked if she could go swimming. I can't believe she remembers that from a year ago! She was only 1 1/2 last time we went! I swear she loves Snowbird and tells me all the time that she wants to go back. It was quite an eventful year this year! Rachel came up with Steph, Emily & Kale, and Taylor. She decided to stay the night and the others went home. On Thursday the 9th we all went to dinner at The Wildflower Ristarante to celebrate Lindsie and Grandpa Hal's birthdays. Kailee ordered her own dinner by herself (Spaghetti and a glass of milk) and we all placed guesses on what day Rachel would have her baby and how big she would be. At about 5:30 that following morning, her water broke. Lindsie took her to the hospital, and beautiful Baby Londyn was born on Friday the 10th! Thanks to Grandma Reva and Grandpa Hal (who celebrated his 80th Birthday while we were there!) for the opportunity to go, and thanks always to Lindsie for the amazing pictures! You Rock!
